The first three, one would hope, were already in place....And your 4th comment....do we KNOW what exactly the situation was??? If our own House and Senate can't keep their mouths shut when national security may be at risk, how can we citizens really trust some of the other so called " worldwide intelligence agencies...." Remember our very own Robert Hansen. There are more out there, and have been for some time, I would bet.

When hearings are held, maybe some of this will come out.....In fact, personally, I think that the Administration has presented the Senate and House and the country with an interesting scenerio.....

Exactly WHAT has been the situation for the last 10 years regarding terrorist activity, and our lack of response to it....?????

res- How about alerting ALL airlines against the possibility that the KNOWN terrorists should be screened off planes?

When were known terrorists allowed on U.S. planes?

res- How about investigating the flight schools?

You mean racial profiling flight schools against potential Islamic fundamentalists? The left wing liberals would have had a field day post 9/11. Heck, they still scream blood murder at the thought of "investigating foreigners".

res- How about assigning a group of "intelligence" officers to further make sure reports coming were actually followed up?

Intelligence isn't a perfect science. And I am sure in hindsight the services missed opportunities for detection. To blame Bush on the oversight of the entire intelligence establishment is nonsense. But then, even you realizes that down deep.

res- How about not distancing the US from ALL other intelligence agencies from our allies.....of course those allies which had been dissed SO badly by this administration from the day it came to power?

Silly non-sequitor which has no actual basis in reality. Saying something exists doesn't make it so. Being a biased "I hate Bush" propoponent of the tallest order has no doubt clouded your perceptions.

Better luck next time Chris.
