Mexican Police Find Stolen Truck Carrying Cyanide Cargo

MEXICO CITY (AP)--Mexican police Thursday found a stolen truck that was carrying 10 tons of sodium cyanide, but it appeared that part of the deadly cargo was missing.

"There are some drums, but it looks like not all of them," Hidalgo state police director Federico Perez said. The truck was located in Zacatlan, 120 miles north of Mexico City. Environmental and other officials were sent to investigate.

Mexican embassy officials in Washington D.C. confirmed to Cable News Network that the truck carrying 10 tons of sodium cyanide was located, although the network reported that all the 96 drums of sodium cyanide on the truck were all accounted for by police.
