I bet there hasn't been a day since 1960 that some idiot hasn't had a plan to hijack an airliner. The US has had x-rays and metal detectors for years to stop hijackings. Bomb sniffing dogs. Who'd have thought a plane full of passengers would be cowed by box cutters? Who would have thought hijackers would fly a plane into a building?
