Then do you pledge not to post to or about Poet again, directly or indirectly ever, anyplace? I have agreed to this multiple times. Are you not hearing me? What I am not agreeing to is not to post about topics on which Poet has also posted. That gives her an effective veto power over my ability to post on anything. All she needs to do is see that I'm engaged on a topic, insert a comment, and suddenly if I continue posting on that topic, I'm in violation of the kind of condition that Laz, for an example, wants to impose. That's not acceptable. I don't think anybody on SI would agree that. I certainly won't. Edit: The first time I read your post I missed the "anyplace." So I need to note that my answer pertains to SI only. Agreements made on SI are for SI. There are thousands of chat sites in this world. There are conferences that Poet and I may both go to, not knowing the other is there. Am I going to limit my entire life for the sake of relieving a posting restriction on SI? Nope.
