I wonder if it has something to do with IP based SANS
rendering their switch obsolete. In such cases usually
the price action is right as the bad fundamental news
comes out later.

Price move is occurring amid relatively thin volume. Talk is that advance is being driven by renewed chat room chatter of a Cisco buyout. This is a rumor that has made the rounds numerous times this year, and is usually rolled out to explain any sizeable move in SONS shares. The Cisco rumor is receiving very little play on trading floors today
