Hi Nat,

I'm sometimes taken aback by how vociferous the "free market" crowd is about any notion that a "fair market" has any place in our modern commercial culture. The free market mantra was taken to the extreme by the traders at Enron, with their "Death Star", "Richochet" and other such trading strategies that meant they could use phony transactions to destroy routines in California hospitals, destroy dairies which couldn't process milk, destroy meager savings for the elderly and all of it more or less perfectly legal because of the free market principles that they were able to create by buying off key legislators and regulators. You gotta love this kind of freedom.

Disappointingly, the law of the jungle is more "humane" in the jungle than it is in the board rooms of corporate America.
