Nice entry on EXPE. Did you get the top tick? just about....I hadn't thought of shorting it earlier when you mentioned it cause it was behaving too strongly even when they swooned the market ...then towards the EOD , there it was straining away over $84 , cause prolly more shorts got stuck shorting in the $70's ...then out of sheer irristible fancy I hope I shorted another poor short , short covering . ;-) Nasty business the market is sometimes ! Did get a pump in Zack's on Weds w/AMZN, prolly one of the reasons: biz.yahoo.com Expedia Inc. (Nasdaq: EXPE - News) is an online travel firm that may be down, but in not out by any means. The company's shares have fallen about 10 percent recently on concerns about competition and valuation, but it appears Expedia is gaining share rather than losing. Stock catalysts include signs of stabilization in the travel industry, more signs that Expedia is expanding its market share, continued growth in users, conversion and ongoing diversification of its business model. As major airlines continue to slash compensation to travel agents, online providers like Expedia may continue to capture market share and many analysts have increased their earnings projections by as much as +30% for 2002. The skies are looking very friendly to Expedia. I don't know what's up with that dahm thing now , but $84's has worked before ...less they see some summertime pumpo coming for the travel biz and can run it up further , they seemed to have unloaded each time some right in here .. let's hope it's an "up-market" on Monday , then EXPE might go down , hehe , and hope it doen't have to reach a nice round number like $90 , as AMZN found @$20 before it decides to pullback , LOL! hadn't seen that...and she is taunting me!!! Evil wench that fox. I stopped trading that afternoon , but even had a post waiting to steal that grub, lingering by the computer ...and turned away for just a second , and it was gone ! Little delicate fingers and deft little handsies she has ! ;-)
