I have to agree, my impression is only sometime after the first tower was hit was there TV coverage. My daughter called me after the first one hit, and they showed live footage of the tower, but only later any footage of the plane going in.

Last week I met with people on the 39th floor of the Penn Square building, looking directly towards WTC, who saw the first plane before it hit WTC, when it roared 500' from their office and rattled windows. Joe B., one of the techs, ran around the office yelling, and the whole crew watched as the 2nd plane take off, and immediately circle around to hit the other tower.

I haven't heard of any live coverage, however of the first plane.

Dear Mr. Palau: I am sorry but I said all I know and all I remember. Looking at the post later on this thread where they show the building after the first impact but before the second impact, perhaps that was what I saw, I just can be more exact then that. But, I do know FOR SURE that the news media was covering images of the bldg and the FIRST plane impact well before the second impact as I was watching it during the entire time. jdn
