Hey Sylvie Baby,

Looks like we are one of the few positives this afternoon and headed for the $5 close... I've got good feelings about LU, looks like momentum has truly swung the other direction. I've seen some brokers now listing a $10 target... Most of my concerns are evaporating. I only have a few left... With the recent stock exchange program announced for the employees (sounds similar to the one Nortel went through a few quarters ago but the timing is much better for LU employees...) I worry somewhat about the net effect of 50,000 employees looking for a good strike price for some date in November... Too bad they couldn't have tightened this up somewhat to be a couple months.... Another concern is the SEC investigation. I know you replied the LU line to me which is vendor financing is not being looked at but... there was an investigation launched November 2000 and we have heard zippo. This is a long time for something to go on with no announcements. Would be nice to see something conclude here is there are going to be no fines or penalties levied...

Now, with my two concerns listed above I have a number of "hopefuls" that I think will be big positives... they include:
- Numerous upgrade announcements by analysts
- Moody (and others) announcing debt upgrades
- Break even results announcement (end of this qtr?)
- After Agere - should make a cleaner look into the fundamentals moving forward to make easier compares
- Reverse Stock SPlit? Stock buyback? What to do about those 3.2 Billion shares outstanding? Kind of limits the upside.... Lots of investors with < 100 shares each - extra cost getting information to the most widely held (or close to...) stock.
- More than anything else to move this stock - it will be continued results. I like seeing them cancel things like the LambdaManager, although I think they pulled the trigger too late. Need to focus on a narrow set of successful products. Need to keep spending to the minimum. Need to get margins into the 30's.... those are the things that will propel LU to something closer to 20...

JMHO...
