Thirty-three percent of Americans now say they have a lower opinion of GWB after the "Bush Knew" scandal. That's significant. Whether that will translate into gains for Democrats remains to be seen, but the figure is nothing to sneer at.

If the Democrats are smart, their strategy from now till November is simple: Ask tough questions, make GWB and his coterie of conservative cronies accountable.

The American public will get few answers from GWB, because, like Tricky Dicky, he considers himself to be imperial, above scrutiny.

And yet the conflict is always there, and this one hurts the Dems in places where they hoped to re-elect weak Senators. Since mid afternoon they've been backing off, shocked by a media that may have finally heard one too many Carvillisms.

In the House it's all been bumped to the bottom of the food chain, where the Jerry Nadlers and Cynthia McKinney's still titillate their low life districts with anything that's anti-American. Gephardt got caught up-but he's the kind of guy who knows right away when he's boxed in. On FOX News Sunday he's scheduled to get his nuts sliced by Dick Cheney. Look for a minimum of 5 "I NEVER said that!''s. Then Cheney let's him walk away alive, so he won't miss the real punishment, in November.

In the Senate, Puff has already cried uncle and fled back into the woods. If he's not afraid to come out Sunday, he'll issue his own "I NEVER said that!"'s and change the subject at the speed of light-his speciality.

Bad day for the Dems, overall. They felt they were compelled to take this gamble, and-not for the first time since 9/11-it blew up in their faces.

In case you left wing Clinton-sucking creeps haven't noticed, that's no longer Bob Dole on the other side of No Man's Land. The A Team has rolled in (as in 'A' for Bush Administration). And they're locked, cocked, and ready to rock.

Let's ROLL!!!!
