JimmySilverBells,

I expect 20% of all US households in bankruptcy by 2007

How did you arrive at that number?

Not that I could dispute it, but I was wondering if it was blown out of your arse or if was derived with some sort of mathematical logic behind it. <g> <ng>

P.S. Your reply to Joan almost made me think you knew what you were talking about.

...give her a few minutes and she'll show you why you are wrong. She's good... and well thought out.
Keep an eye on her.

Fuzzball Statman,

How do you arrive at 20%? One in five households? I can't see that level being reached, if we see 20%, the business sector will be in some serious trouble.

Although, I heard some stats the other day that stopped me in my tracks....they said the average american household has a plastic debt of $8,500 and an IRA account with a value of $16,000. The median IRA value for Americans 55 & older is $30k.
