I think about three years ago, they split up. From this article, it appears that Amkor retains a close relationship with Anam as a business representative in the US and elsewhere. Each year TI recognizes a select group of companies who contribute significantly to TI's business success. Suppliers are rated on the basis of environmental responsibility, technology, responsiveness, supply assurance, cost and quality. Only 28 companies in TI's worldwide supplier base received the award this year. Anam Semiconductor fabricates digital signal processor chips for TI at its wafer foundry in Korea; Amkor Wafer Fabrication Services provides support for Anam in the US. Earlier this year, Anam and Amkor completed their fourth Technical Assistance Agreement with TI, assuring continued technical cooperation between the companies. The Anam foundry, established in 1998, was developed with technology transferred from TI. The foundry currently produces 8-inch semiconductor wafers using a range of sub-micron process technologies at the 0.35, 0.25, 0.18 and 0.15-micron process levels.
