KIS, Sounds interesting. Just as an example, I see QCOM around 32.5. Do you use the near-term options, or further out?

June 35 calls = 1.4
June 30 puts = 1.5

Say one was to do 10 contracts of each for a cost of 1400 + 1500 + about 72 round trip commision = $2972.

In order to get to $3 on one side, it'd probably take a quick $2-$3 move. If you got it, would you actually sell then, or wait for $5-6? It seems selling for $3 would mean a very small gain, albeit safe.

I'll be thinking about BRCM next (g).

Thanks for your comments.

Jeff

<<Does everyone else here mainly play the market with straddles?>>

Used to do that for a living. You need to know which ones to buy, but the prevailing paper is institutional sellers, so they are historically too cheap. Ton's of options traders on the exchange floor do the same thing.
