Hi tony,

I'm in complete agreement with you. Thanks for your post.

While a lot of Joe SixPack types are content to "follow the leader" on anti-terror efforts, they are simply not paying attention to how badly they're being ripped off by the superior economic powers that Bush coddles. The insurance industry is an extraordinary racket, as is the the whole War Rackets swindle. But, as long as the government can continue to convince the public that there's hobgoblins in every closet, the public will remain catatonic and crudely crass.

I think it's important for us to realize that the entire scheme of the Bush team is nothing new. Here's the words a cynic from the early 20th Century, more true today than ever:

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace in a continual state of alarm (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing them with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
