Globe says Mosaic's WorldCom marketing deal dies

Tue 21 May 2002

The Globe and Mail reports in its Saturday, May 18, edition that marketing
firm Mosaic Group said Friday WorldCom's wireless division has given 60
days' cancellation notice of a contract under which Mosaic acquires
wireless customers for WorldCom. The Globe's Briefing column reports that
Mosaic vice-chairman and chief executive officer Marc Byron said, "We are
confident that we will be able to obtain a new acquisition contract with an
alternate wireless carrier over the next several months." News of the death
of the marketing deal was not released until after the markets closed
Friday. Mosaic stock closed up 13 cents to $3.95 on the Toronto Stock
Exchange Friday. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $8 to $2.50.
