I never said they were.
Mining, being a capital intensive industry, obviously has a big difference between cash cost and total costs.
One can, however, keep producting all the way down to the cash cost and maintian positive cash flow (because depreciation is a non-cash expense) This explains why most mining companies continued to produce at near record levels over the last 6 years een without earning s, becasue cash flow was positive.
