I don't care about static adds -- I even click on them periodically to help out whatever site I'm using. But all the crap flashing and zooming back and forth is really getting to me. It literally makes me nauseous, plus it jams up my video input so much my cursor disappears unless I'm moving it.

If Zeev suggested moving to another hosting location, I'd be there in a second. I am really SICK of this $H!T. (BTW, I'm one of the new people, who PAYS for the privilege of being bombarded with offensive levels of spam.)

SmartMoney and Augie, I don't see adds. I know when GNET bought SI, there was a way for grandfathered members to choose to not see ads.

Does anyone know. Is that option not available to new members now?

[edit] Augie, I see you figured it out. I knew there was a way.

I don't see any ads on SI. Not one, ever.

You might have one of those sneaky programs running that pops up an ad when you change pages in your browser. In that case the ads are nothing to do with the site you are using but the ad program makes it look that way.

Make sure you have no executables running that sound ad related. "SaveNow.exe" is a common one that gets installed with video playback software such as GDivX. Go to control panel, add/remove programs and get rid of that sort of thing. Also make sure your browser isn't set to automatically install and run ActiveX components. That's as good as giving a stranger admin access to your PC.
