OK - I see what the 10000 thing is now - smoke from forest fires/ agricultural burning also has an effect on albedo - All this stuff gets washed down fairly fast - only volcanos and nuclear blasts get stuff above the tropopause where it can stay for years. But maybe very small particles could have regional effects like the sulfur from powerplants. I don't know.
