Milo, Re: <I guess we will all be watching the rumored introduction on June 10 to see if we get just Compaq as a launch partner or if we get a couple OEM's (in the mobile space).>

I must have missed something. What launch is rumored on June 10?

Desktop?

The mobile launches will be by the manufacturers with an announcement by AMD.

No?

Milo, Re: "My conclusions are that AMD will be matching the High Watt Mobiles (like they have been over the last year with good success coming from their aggressive pricing), but they will really open a lead in the 16 watt category until Banias comes out."

I noticed this, too. AMD has a much more competitive low power roadmap until Banias. Interesting that the tables have turned. The only question will be how aggressive they are in trying to get into the 16W market (my personal favorite, since I like laptops in very small form factors), even though it is much smaller than the 25W and 35W markets.

Re: AMD mobile vs. Intel

Great post/link. It's easy to forget how strong AMD is becoming in mobile.
