I wasn't advocating it particularly, just trying to get outside the box. I created a straw man as part of a discussion of whether taking over another country was always and absolutely bad, as I recall. Africa is a basket case. People are dying like the proverbial flies. One theoretical option is to take all or part of it over, profiting from their resources while we save lives and get the trains running. You were aghast at the prospect. As I recall, you didn't find any resources there that were worth controlling.
