Me "hate" LRCX? I'm short LRCX that's all.

I'm bearish on the semiconductor equips and Mr Pink regarded LRCX as a sell here..

Mr Pink had his detractors too

I chose just one semi equip rather then try an keep an eye on all of them. I only took out a small position long term because the semis can be volatile. The LRCX Bulls and I are having a civil conversation on the yahoo thread. It's merely a matter of money only.... no hate in it. Actually I made some money on the short side on it already. Sold some more on March 5 for $26.1 and covered it on May 3rd for $23.8. Not much I know, but it's keeping me amused.

One thing I need to study more is the service contract side of the semi equips. If silicon chip volume does increase as everyone tries to compete, maybe that could actually provide a steady income for some of the equipment business.

Depending on what I find out, and what the stock market does I may go long some semi equips. Can't imagine doing that right now though. As a clown I got hammered on tech stocks bad, as this thread knows. I would have to be ultra convinced that things were going well.

LAM has been around for a while, and I've used there older equipment quite a bit. They have an established technical reputation amongst semi engineers.
