What I see is my (rather large Fortune 100 company) and several others in the same industry, have not upgraded their low end servers or PCs in quite some time.
Up til now, they've wasted time paying for minor repairs (my CPU has been replaced several times). It's reaching a point where they HAVE to upgrade because the cost of paying for the repairs is now getting excessive.
If I have a CPU replaced again, it will have been cheaper to have gotten me a new computer over a year ago. Procurement is aware of this....and it isn't just me.
