And so it could happen again to Bush,if his war on terror starts to go poorly. I don't understand this. The President has a great deal of influence over foreign policy and military actions. He is Commander in Chief. While he can get blamed for things out of his control, Harry Truman stated the rule for this: "The Buck Stops Here". The economy struggles mightily. There are 2+ years to the next elections. If history is any guide, the economy should be in decent shape by then. Unless we're really unlucky.
