We don't try to micro-analyze the business fundamentals of corporations - doing so is too complicated for us. We're content to leave that sort of work to analysts and financial reporters.

Instead, at footprintstocks.com we try to "follow the money".

Although one day does not make a trend, it was interesting to note that on Friday there was 36% more volume on downticks than on upticks - excluding block trades – for ASYT. In addition, there was 62% more volume on upticks than on downticks for block trades of 10,000 or more.

Block trades typically represent institutional investors - and there are those who believe that institutional investors are more sophisticated and smarter than individual investors.

A dichotomy exists when a stock is up more than 2 points and the money flow data indicates that there is more volume on downticks than on upticks. Sellers are being more aggressive than buyers.

We'll continue to watch this daily to see if these ratios persist.
