Is The Independent generally reliable?

The Indy comments on cash strapped biotech group Cenes Pharmaceuticals (London: CEN.L - news) (CEN.L), who in the nick of time has received approaches for information from five interested parties, after efforts by current management and shareholders to encourage a sale. The group has slashed costs by cutting its board members to five, suspending research and closing its US operations, but on a brighter note revealed promising data last week on one product for pain caused by a malfunctioning central nervous system, and may also have a product that could be used to treat schizophrenia.
