A perfect example of a total nutbag getting a PhD. Many of the rejects of our modern world retreat into pseudo-intellectualism to attain an undeserved credibility in our decadent media...

That's the one.

I'm not a fan of religious or socialist movements.
But she is a scientist with integrity who looks at the common morals of mil-industrial politics, which, otherwise, has no morality. She can't be bought.

The mathematics of escalation is a race between over-militarizing and under-militarizing, in the minds of those who handle the policies and budgets. What Caldicott points out are the issues not talked about in budget hearings, which have to do with the lives and well-being of those who pay the bills, fiscally and physically, for those decisions.

How do you define "ideologue"?

If HC is one, certainly so are those on the other side of the issue, who laud the "God gave the US nuclear weapons, praise God", as one poster did here recently, and which is essentially the position of nuclear proponents (with a slight exaggeration).

In either case, presenting only one side fails to inform those whose asses are on the line. Military hubris is pretty much all that appears in the public press.

If you notice, those that talk toughest have the deepest bunkers. Or run the other way, like Bush who avoided Vietnam service, and even skated on a years' worth of NG duty, and Cheney who avoided service altogether.

If Ms. Caldicott has integrity, there should be some place where she has acknowledged and explained her past blunders.

She probably does have integrity, but she is also IMHO, an ideologue.
