I think the lesson of a classic bottom can be observed daily with the gold stocks, which, 18 months and 100%+ off their bottom levels, still command little attention. I was too young to remember how the shift occurred in the US equity market from late '84 to early '85, but I'd wager that it was similarly slow.

Hi, how are you doing?

I hope they do not start talking about the run in the gold stocks. Suspect when they start talking about it we will get the general public starting to buy the stocks.
