Hi all:

I heard that last week's uptrend was because it was an options expiration week. Can somebody explain this? Are all options expiration weeks positive? Or is there a tendency for that to happen? Who gains and loses by such phenomena? How about the first and the second week before the expiration of options? Based on this, what can we reasonably foresee for this week and next week?

I am not going to use this info for trading or whatever; just as an extra bit of knowledge to help understand the market action.

Thanks.
