JS did mention that the market was bimodal with 1700 representing the higher mode...I see that the AMD XP 2100, after a lengthy price decline, has shown some significant strength this past week...

"Intel appears to be struggling. I would not be surprised to hear of layoffs at the next CC."

With AMD's new product lineup about to be unveiled, INTC is about to be relegated to a distant "no.2" on a price/performance basis in both flash and cpu's, and, if true, that will necessarily result in a significant INTC reshaping...JS has alluded to AMD's goal of being undisputed "no. 1" from a price/performance perspective in both the flash and cpu segments...Seems JS is verging on realizing his goal with MirrorBit and Hammer...
