Nemer, I saw it much like you did. I think Magic Wiesner made a heroic run at the end, but, as I mentioned in a previous note, it is like the local pro doing well in his PGA event because he knows the course. I don't think he'll be in the money if he goes to The Belmont, though I sure would race him if he were mine. I worry about a couple of Belmont "pros" and perhaps a few Preakness dropouts from the Derby who will be much fresher than WE. But the fact is, if he sees them coming, he goes faster. It may not be easy, but you gotta bet him.

Nemer, I got absolutely sick and tired of reading all the "experts" in the Racing Form and other papers downplaying War Emblem's terrific win in the Derby. The plain truth is that he ran faster both earlier and later than the rest of the crowd chasing him. They panned him just as they panned Charismatic a couple of years ago. The ordinary guy in the crowd knew better by making him the favorite in the Preakness, where he ran another great race. I hope he hasn't peaked and like yourself will be rooting for him. R

Anyone who cheers for a horse owned by a Saudi Arabian PRINCE that dedicated the Preakness trophy to that SUCKY country should get on a frickin plane and leave the country.

Hell, lets just run the Triple F---kin Crown in another COUNTRY because the dudes in Kentucky can't breed a decent horse, let alone some stupid oldtimer in IL selling WarEmblem for 900,000!

If War Emblem wins the crown, He will be shipped to Saudi Arabia to stud.

A mile and a half. Is it in his breeding?

I hope he loses, because of the Saudi connection.

I get joy watching these towelheads show up every year with their million dollar horses from their multimillion dollar complexs, lose.

I love seeing the little guy from the small KY farm with a surprise horse that everyone cheers for.

Cheer for the USA,
There is always a next year.
