>>Wcom could well go to a 50-100 billion cap in several years if gets through the liquidity crisis, business improves, and we get an excited market again. At 2x current earnings, it might be worth a shot.(duh) <<
In your wildest dreams Gene. You can keep promoting your tech stocks , but that doesn't change the fact you've blown off millions on your "bubble" gains.
If you still must buy tech...Buy Amat!

Eugene, don't get too optimistic about Verizon Jr (what you call WCOM). I've seen stuff like this before. They are dead meat. It's only a matter of time.

I will particularly enjoy their service when they become Verizon, as we could bundle our wireless and business services under them (currently have one for wireless and one for business services).

They are in a death spiral. I encourage everyone to look at their balance sheet very closely, taking out all the goodwill and most of the equipment asset values. After doing that, see if there is anything left to pay common shareholders. I think not.

This DCB may last another week or two for WCOM, but every DCB has been followed by brutal selling. Window undressing is coming in the end of June.

A market cap of 100-billion Lira will even be a stretch for WCOM in a year, IMO.
