We are proud of those who have served their country in uniform, and grateful to all for their sacrifice. Those who made the ultimate sacrifice stand as a rebuke to those who would take for granted our liberties, and scorn our institutions. While some sit comfortably denouncing this bastion of freedom under law, they put themselves on the line to preserve it, to secure it for their kin and fellows, and for posterity. I venture to say that not only the United States of America, but the world, owes or will owe much to those who kept alight the lamp of liberty as a beacon to all the world.........
