I grew up in a fringe TV area. The local appliance store put up an antennal on a power pole on the highest hill in town and proceeded to cable the signal around town. It took a lot of years before they had most of the town on board. When a real cable company came into the market they paid a small fortune for the cable already in place. This trend certainly reminds me of that experience.

That looks very good. . . but won't work so well in my neck of the woods (Lake Forest park, Washington). Maybe with wireless mesh networked router APs it would be viable here.
