GOLDCORP has no thread here soi this was filtered at Raging Bull so I post it here:
The 20 May 02 S&P Research Report on the WIRE service say that The Red L Mine is 2, 00 acres while the OTHER RED LAKE held claims are TO BE EXPLORED at 10 fold that in acres:
also Sydney GLD just turned up 25% now:

Red Lake Mine - Minesite Exploration
[gold]

2002 Minesite Exploration Budget - $12 million.

Exploring the Red Lake Mine has delivered dramatic success and generated tremendous share owner wealth. To date we have been finding high grade, highly profitable ounces at a cost of $11 per ounce. In the first quarter of 2002 we produced 124,883 of these ounces for $65 ounce, yet sold them for $291 per ounce.

With such a robust return on our investment we continue to aggressively explore at the Red Lake Mine and in 2002 we are forecast to spend $12 million on exploration.

1. Depth Extensions of the High Grade Zone – We believe there is excellent potential for more reserves to be found at depth. Current ore reserves have a vertical extent of approximately 1300 feet to a depth of 5800 feet. Our primary exploration focus is to expand these reserves at depth. We will complete diamond drilling to test for the potential to double the vertical extent of mineralization to a depth of approximately 7000 feet. In this work the main focus will be the HW5 zone, which is the highest grade zone and represents almost 25% of our total high grade reserves.

Drilling to date has been very successful having produced a number of high grade intercepts of up to 30.64 ounces of gold per ton across 9.5 feet, almost 350 feet vertically below the current ore reserve limits. This mineralization remains open at depth.

2. Far East Zone – Previous drilling in 1998 and 1999 intercepted mineralization to the east of current workings, in an area previously thought to have limited potential. This fact alone is significant as our high grade discovery was made in an area previously thought to have limited potential. This target area has the potential to host both sulphide and high grade mineralization. Mineralization has been identified over a vertical distance of almost 5000 feet, starting at 2000 feet below surface. The most significant intercept to date was 1.28 oz gold per ton over 6.2 feet, 2000 feet below surface. We are currently creating access for drilling by excavating a drift (or tunnel) a total of 1000 feet east of the mine workings on the 16 level, approximately 2500 feet below surface and ending in the vicinity of the highest grade intercept. We are also drifting on the 34 level (5100 feet below surface) 1000 feet to the east to access the Far East Zone at a greater depth. The Far East Zone was one of the favourite targets highlighted by our Challenge contestants.

3. Lateral Extensions of the High Grade Zone – Drill results to date support our belief that there is excellent potential for more reserves to be found, laterally to the east and west of the current reserves. To explore in these areas we need to create access for drilling which we are doing by driving a drift (tunnel) on the 34 level (5100 feet below surface) 1000 feet to the east and 1600 feet to the west.

4. Upper Mine Levels – Previous drilling has intercepted isolated zones of high grade mineralization in the upper levels of mine, at vertical depths of between 2000 and 3500 feet. For example, one intercept averaged 0.95 ounces of gold per ton across 27.9 feet at a vertical depth of approximately 3100 feet. We are focussing our efforts on assessing the continuity of this mineralization.

Chucka- HOLDING ...in fact I was an $7ish buyer o that stupid Warrant I have no clue how it works as a supplement to my shares... in Canada G.WT.U ( US Dollars )
GG warrants just gapped up a cheap play on GG NYSE at 2 shares at $12.50 up to 2007 ...my math says that til 2007 one can buy a share of GG for just HALF the cost today of the warrants..say $7 ish at $3.50 a share for GOLDCORP...anyone see that in the math...by the time I spend each $12.50 USD bill, the US wil be devalued say 25% more than the 4% devalue thsi week..gert it>> by that time ( 2007 ) what will be the PRICE of GG NYSE I say $50 +++ LOL anyone want to test there math at assumption $50- GG shares? What rate am I paying 10% or 1 % LOL as a cheap call FOR LEAP of 5 years? Equivalent?
