I gotta say that the look of a laptop shouldn't be an issue, but it is in media. Can't go out with ANYTHING that looks bad. Hell, I know people who have been fired for the cut of a suit (literally). As for my computer, I asked specifically if I was the only one who had the problem and was told that Latitudes have a well known reputation for CPU problems. Apparently, the company decided it was cheaper (for the time being) to replace parts rather than upgrade. I gotta believe that won't last.
