The so-called resilient consumer filed 15.2% more bankruptcies in the 12 months ending March the government reported last week. Personal bankruptcies also rose 3.5% quarter-over-quarter. The all-time quarterly record for business and consumer bankruptcy filings is 400,394 set in last year’s Q2. Nonetheless, the latest numbers represent a new 12-month high.
