Thanks so much for the report on Sir John. Almost as good as being there. I had been wondering if he had gone short on the techs--thought maybe he wouldn't out of moral reservations. I know he usually would never suggest shorting--and his advice even there was to short if you felt you had to be long at the same time, it sounds like.

I wonder if maybe he his buying up FCO all by himself. He is a british citizen, one of only two I know of naturalized out of Franklin County, tennessee, and maybe he likes the Commonwealth bonds. FCO has been heading up like a rocket. Unfortunately I thought it had gone too far too fast about a week ago and got out. Big mistake on my part. But I still have about 20% of net worth in FAX, so I am right on the mark as far as Sir John is concerned.

I don't suppose he said anything about oil or gold did he?
