The Israeli terrorists kill their own leaders. Example Rabin and the recent threat to kill Sharon if he agrees to a Palestenian state

I didn't hear the threat. I don't think you can make a rule out of one single political assassination in the history of the State of Israel. Furthermore, the profound shock that the Rabin assassination caused Israel, the great discredit that rebounded to the parties thought to be sympathetic to it, will make anybody else think twice about using assassination again. Nor was the assassination able to derail Oslo. That's another difference from the Palestinians -- policies are not decided by one man, if the Prime Minister dies, he is replaced. It's very different in a dicatatorship like the PA.

There is little comparison between a functioning democracy on one side, where the government makes policy and keeps a monopoly on the use of force, and a weak dictatorship on the other hand, where the dictator keeps dozens of different 'security' organizations with ties both direct and indirect, each of which uses force, some with greater levels of deniability.
