>When Mr. Vajapayee team was in Lahore the only big query they had was where are the people sleeping on roads like Calcutta and Bombay they thought they have been brought to Lahore Fort through VIP areas, I told them that the inner city is the poorest district where we are right now, I did report it that they were just shocked,>

No point comparing Lahore with Bombay and Calcutta. Compare Punjab on the Pakistan side with Punjab on the Indian side. Do you see a lot of poverty in Indian Punjab or Haryana?

And Bombay's situation is simply because of its success and not its failure. The rural landless can get a job in Bombay. And that's why they arrive in hordes. The property prices in Bombay are comparable to Tokyo, Hong Kong, New York and London. That creates a particular housing problem. Any housing is difficult to afford. I admire Bombay. Bombay is the most cosmopolitan city in India. Bombay works. It has a professional culture even at the street vendor level.

Iqbal,
I have been away for a while from this thread. I also don't agree with your way of portraying Pakistan I have to agree with you on this score with regard to caste system in India.
Brahminism in India is the root cause of almost all of the ills in India. There are some good educated Brahmins, but very rare to see them. Comparing with the rest of the population in India, almost all Brahmin's (>95%) are educated and yet you see those vermins keeping the status quo for the sack of controlling Government jobs and all economic benefits. But for their evil caste system and their strong hold on government jobs and news media, there will be a lot of Brahmin beggers if they have to compete on equal basis.
It is also true that of late Vajpayee has been high jacked by RSS and VHP. Atually, Vajpayee started his political carrier with RSS background, started to become more moderate and now started going back to his root. RSS and VHPs are most Brahminical organizations and they have been fooling some upper caste idots into have a false sense of pride to get some muscle power.
Unless India bans RSS and VHP, and makes some attempts to eradicate Brahminsm in india, there won't eradication of caste system.
