I hope you're wrong, but suspect you may be right. Unfortunately, nothing has come of "Invent" other than a lot of hype. Historically, HP has always invented its was out of a slowing market. Unfortunately, current management is more interested in consolidating the position in the slowing market rather than looking at new ways to apply technology. Truth is, this isn't just a problem at HP, it's endemic to the PC culture of Silicon Valley and I have a feeling that when the next really big thing comes along it will be from someplace where nobody expects it. mg
