07:54 ET Solly cuts estimates for select app software co's Salomon Smith Barney decreases estimates for a number of application software co's based on the belief that flat QoQ license revs is the best case scenario for Q2 and that IT budgets will be about flat in 2002 vs 2001; cuts Q2, Q3, Q4, and 2003 ests for ARBA, EXEE, EPNY, INFA, PSFT, SEBL, and VIGN, and also lowers MSFT's Q4 est to $0.41 from $0.42. Favorite large cap stocks are SEBL and PSFT, and favorite small cap is INFA.
