odb, His 10 year record has been pitiful and it is not all the fault of the emerging markets. He is performing in the lower quartile of emerging market funds. Several reasons for that: 1. The expense ratio is sky high, which is ridiculous for fund over $1 billion. 2. He seems to have missed great markets in Russia, Korea and Turkey during the 10 years. 3. He caught a lot of Argentina and Venezuela. 4. He is a value investor and the growth emerging funds outperformed during most of the decade.

That being said, I am buying his funds because the pe ratio is about 40% of the S&P 500, the dollar is toilet paper and it is the only emerging market fund in my 401K. <g>
