Inktomi Expands Worldwide Distribution Channel; Signs Global Reseller Deal with HP Services

FOSTER CITY, Calif., May 21, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Inktomi Corp. (INKT) , developer of scalable network infrastructure software, today announced that it has signed a global reseller agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company. Under terms of the deal, HP will resell Inktomi's licensed software products worldwide, further extending the reach of Inktomi(R) network cache, content delivery and enterprise search software to Fortune 2000 enterprises, government agencies, educational institutions and network service providers.

Inktomi(R) Enterprise Search software enables companies to locate and retrieve information across the enterprise and is compatible with hundreds of file formats, multiple languages and both structured and unstructured repositories such as databases, portals, content management systems, collaboration applications, security systems, file systems and Web servers. Inktomi Content Networking Solutions enables enterprises, government and educational organizations and service providers to reduce operating costs, improve network performance and accelerate the delivery of business-critical applications and content to remote offices without requiring costly hardware upgrades.
