my first pc was a compaq, and I have bought Dells for the last 7 or 8 years. it will be interesting to see how aggressive Dell needs to remain on price though, and not lose it's profitability edge. as long as they can maintain market share in the "commoditized market" biz...make up the razor thin profit margin by offering more highly profitable services I think that they will fare alright....plus the Dell "dood" seems to have caught on with the home pc market...<g>
