Elmer, Re: "Exactly the case I've been making. Imagine the two of us being the AMD bulls!"

Imagine that. Though I'm sure half the AMDroids still see us as paid Intel FUDsters, no matter what we say about the two stocks. Anything that breaks their reality, even if it's somewhat positive, means that we are some kind of threat to them, which is why I will expect continued hostility around here.

My current opinion for AMD is short term hold, long term accumulate. More positive news on Hammer might change this to short term buy, long term strong buy, while continued news like Thoroughbred slipping to July might change me to short term sell, long term hold.

For INTC, I am short term hold, long term accumulate as well. If the market continues to turn around, I'd say short term buy, long term buy, and vice versa as well (market down = sell). On the other hand, if they have more good news about future product lines, or a recovery in the networking and communications businesses, then I'd say strong buy all around. Of course, I'm doubtful (but hopeful) of the latter.

Elmer, the AMD Bull . . . I like the sound of that.
