There exists, even today, a huge controversy over whether the Allies should have invaded Northern France in 1943, rather than 1944. It actually stems from a bitter and complicated dispute between George Marshall and Winston Churchill about asset commitment in the Mediterranean. This bitter dispute was solved by a disastrous compromise that negatively impacted our position in the Cold War for decades and also caused massive unnecessary casualties in useless operations like the invasion of southern France.

And there was no mid-war investigation, no Daschle sniping from the sidelines, no hostile left wing press taking sides and leading with the story over war news. And no accusations against Roosevelt for selling out to anyone, or for knowing and "not doing anything".

Wars are LOST by nations that cave in to what the Democrats are attempting today...
