To his credit, which is not saying much, Cramer also urged his readers in March 2000 to take serious money off of the tech table. Other than that he is a shrill clown beholden to the mass media and brokerage industry that spawned him. All of these gurus get it right once in a while, they try to make everyone forget the rest of the times that they blow it with the car salesmen guarantees. Heck, we all get it wrong. The key is to not get arrogant and emotional. I feel pretty good about the goldies owning mainly unhedged HGMCY, GFI, and GG, but try to keep grounded to reality by going over my logbook of times past such as early '98 getting burned badly in oil services as the bottom started falling out with stocks such as PTEN going from 20 to 3. (Sorry Slider on the black, I can't ever listen to you with a straight face again thanks to that debacle remembering your pound the table strong buy calls the whole time the oil market ratcheted down to $10)

Nothing is a sure thing.

The beauty of the markets is there is always another train to catch to make up time or pull ahead, and in my opinion that train leaving the station is the HUI and XAU. It is not a sure thing, but the probabilities indicate we are in the right place to be long. Probably for quite some time. There will be shakeouts along the way, that is inevitable. Planning for these and how to handle them are key in my opinion to making the really big gains and not taking the small pennies.

re: James Cramer & Gold

....when he talks about 5-10% portfolio exposure (vs 1%) and talks about buying goldstocks himself... then, we'll know it's time to start taking profits.

This is just the beginning of the "Institutional Rotation" phase... the real mo-mo players have yet to arrive and they are the ones who set the "parabolic" (profit taking) moves in motion.

...patience.
