former joe

"None of your data or programs will be affected"

is that correct? will i need to reinstall the windows updates, the service packs? will a win2000 reinstall cause me to lose tcp/ip settings? will it affect internet explorer settings?

i'd love to pop the installation disk in the cd-rom drive and click install, because i believe that i have removed (not uninstalled, but removed) Client for Microsoft Networks from my hd.

it's not in my recycle bin, and i don't know where or how to grab it from the installation disk... i don't know what the name of the file is (it's not Client for Microsoft Networks), and i don't know where to put it if i found it.

so as you can see, a reinstall would just seem to make everything all better.

let me know what you think, please.

:)
