When you send a copy of the report to MSFT, there should be an option for getting a copy for yourself or more information about the error.

Dawgy,

Go to this link:

support.microsoft.com

Scroll down a little bit....the screen I think you got should be on there under the heading "MORE INFORMATION"

On that screen, it says toward the bottom...."To see what data this error report contains, click here" (with "click here" being a link).

If that is the error box you are getting, next time you get it, if you click there (on the "click here" link) and then paste the info into a post, we will know what error you are dealing with. There is also a procedure to get Microsoft to send you links about possible fixes to the problem.

Win 98 is an error prone op system. I junked my Win 98 system after a year of frustrations much like what you are describing..including hard drive noises, numerous crashes per day etc. Just wasn't worth the trouble so I bought a new system (first Win ME, which wasn't much better, then Win XP which has been better).
