And the real terrorists know this and take advantage of it. Tenchusatsu, the free world is holding Sharon and Israel to a standard not held before because this feud is out of hand, and is dangerous to all of our collective existence. While this week's alerts by the Bush administration are more motivated, I suspect, by partisan politics than a sudden increase in a dire reality, the fact is we are very much at risk for another terrorist attack. And one of several reasons for the US being a prominent target is our support of Israel. That would be okay if the Israelis were the innocents and the saints in this dispute that Albert and others would have us believe. But from what I have read, they have rarely been fair in their dealings with the Palestinians. I get this opinion not from pro Palestinian texts but from our own Library of Congress...their website. And I am not saying that Israelis deserve suicide bombings, but what I am saying is that I don't believe they deserve our unconditional support like we have given in the past. At least 50% of the fault for this feud lies with them. And we need to be asking questions and getting to the bottom of what the fault is on both sides.......and I believe its more than simply the Muslims against the Jews. I think this is the reason why more and more Americans and Europeans are questioning Israeli motivations under Sharon.........and its not because they are racists or white supremacists. After 50 years of feuding, fighting and bloodshed, its becoming clear at least to me that all the Israeli military actions against the Palestinians are getting them no closer to peace.....that the Palestinians do not intend to shut up and go away quietly in the night. With most people, when something isn't working, they try a different approach. Well, after 50 years of bloodshed, you would think the Israelis would get it and try something different, really different, but instead they fall back on an old concept......cracking the whip. However, it seems the more they crack the whip, the worse things get. ted
